Part 2 - Your Doctors said that “You will never have your voice back to normal ever again.” We said… “TRY US!”

Vernon (left) - Brenda (Middle) Diana (Right) Completeion of 30 hours of non-surgical voice repair. - Case Study #2: Brenda Mooers of Calgary, Alberta Canada - Brenda arrived to our establishment on November 1st 2018. She is a 51 year old woman who has been going through hormonal changes. Sometime prior to inquiring about our services, Brenda went to a medical doctor and presented her problem to him. Her doctor prescribed testosterone needles, which had to be administered to Brenda by her husband on an everyday basis. But… incidentally, the doctor prescribed a triple dose of the latter (3 milligrams instead of 0.3 milligrams). Moreover, this very doctor never ordered a blood test to detect the exact amount of testosterone she would actually need (if any…?). So our doomed client diligently followed her doctor’s wrong instructions and suddenly discovered that her voice tone dropped 3 levels below her normal voice; and at that lower level position, her voice started to crack an

With the Vocal Science™ method and its own very unique vocal technique, we have proven quite a few medical professionals wrong! - Case Study #1: Tim Bristol of Niagara Falls, New York - The above-named non-surgical voice repair client of ours was given a “sentence” of “the point of no return”. The ENT professionals were stating that many of our clients (formally theirs) would never recover their speaking and/or singing voices ever again… With the above in mind… let’s profile a throat cancer survivor named Tim Bristol. Some time ago, he came to us seeking a viable solution for his very serious voice problem, after surviving throat cancer. Tim has been a musician, singer/songwriter (at the time) for over 45 years of his life. From his words, his whole life had mainly revolved around music. Also, from his words, while performing on many stages, which he was playing from, he saw nothing but “blue light”. So, needless to say, the constant second-hand smoke was inhaled by Tim, night

Case Study #2 - Todd, ORLANDO, Perusini Todd ORLANDO Perusini came through our doors on February the 4th of 2008. At the time, he was residing in Mexico (he was originally from Okanagan Valley, B.C.). He had a one-millimetre nodule on his right vocal cord. He was very disturbed by it, as his speaking voice (raspy and hoarse at the time) was affecting his very prominent real-estate career. But also, Todd’s biggest pleasure in life was to compose songs (primarily in Jazz style) and record his voice singing. Nonetheless, that too was greatly compromised. Todd was suggested to undergo an immediate vocal operation. He, though, was super cautious and thus decided to try a non-surgical approach. Todd contacted us and, nevertheless, had given us quite a hard time with regards to convincing him that we could help him to get rid of his nodule non-surgically. Still being very cautious, he booked a non-surgical voice repair course and treatment for the minimum duration of only 10 hours.

Just implementing the small amount of knowledge I picked up through these conversations I was able t

How can Vocal Cord Problems (Vocal Cord Dysfunction) cause Problems with your Speech? What can be done to fix it?

Your vocal cords (within your voice box) are not just strings… They are a delicate form of fold tissues (muscles) with a very thin lining on the outside. And just like any other tissues within the body, if not taken care of properly, they can get damaged. Normally, when people start to exhibit vocal cord problems, they don’t notice or find the need to address it until the problems (like strained vocal cords, bleeding vocal cords or other forms of vocal cord damage) becomes severe enough to warrant a visit to the doctor or a qualified voice specialist. Vocal cord dysfunction (VCD) happens when the vocal cords are unable to open properly. This is also referred to as paradoxical vocal fold movement. VCD is sometimes confused with asthma as some of the symptoms are very similar. With VCD, the vocal cords close instead of opening up, when you breathe in and out. This closer of your vocal cords makes it harder to get air in and out of your lungs.   Signs and symptoms of VCD:

The Role of Alternative Speech Therapy in the Holistic Treatment of Voice Problems affected by Acid Reflux

No one likes dealing with acid reflux. Problems like indigestion, sour taste in your mouth, and difficulty in swallowing are all very uncomfortable effects caused by acid reflux. But did you know that acid reflux can even cause voice loss? This is called Reflux Laryngitis . Reflux laryngitis is mainly caused by stomach acid coming up into the esophagus and thus irritating the larynx. This can cause chronic swelling of the vocal folds, and as a consequence, hoarseness and raspiness in the sound of your voice. What is Acid Reflux? Acid reflux occurs when stomach acid and its contents travel up into the esophagus and quite possibly into the throat. Common signs include a sour/bitter taste in the mouth, burping, nausea, and difficulty in swallowing.   Causes of Acid Reflux Persistent reflux can be caused by obesity, poor diet, food sensitivities and certain behaviours such as bending over, lying down or speaking/singing in high volume and, nevertheless, by speaking or singi

An Alternative Method of Speech Therapy may be the answer for the Treatment of a Raspy and Hoarse Voice.

Has the quality of your voice been compromised due to chronic hoarseness? If you are suffering from this ever-growing voice problem, The Royans Institute for Non-Surgical Voice Repair can help to fix it. - Before we go into what it takes to completely eliminate hoarseness, we must gain a better understanding of what exactly it is. So to make things clear, hoarseness is a symptom, not a disease. It is an abnormal change in your voice caused by a variety of conditions. Due to these conditions, the voice may exhibit a change in pitch and volume, ranging from a deep, harsh voice to a weak raspy voice. The most common cause for this is what is known as acute laryngitis (inflammation of the vocal cords) which is most often caused by an upper respiratory tract infection (usually viral), and it also can be caused by overuse or misuse of the voice (like singing loudly or yelling). If you tend to use your voice a lot and are experiencing hoarseness, the strain on your voice

Information About Vocal Paralysis And Whether or Not It Could Be Treated Non-Surgically.

Every human, at some point in their lives, experiences a change when it comes to their voice. Some of those changes are natural & some changes are abnormal. Sometimes, those abnormal changes are so severe, they may even warrant an investigation with respect to finding out where the underline cause lies. This leads to the discovery of voice problems and what they signify with regards to one’s health. In this article, we will focus on a particular voice disorder known as vocal cord paralysis; it’s causes, symptoms and the options that are available in order to effectively treat it.   Introduction Vocal paralysis is a condition where one or both vocal cords are unable to move due to various factors – most of which derive from nerve damage (specifically, the nerves that activate the muscles within the vocal cords). In some cases, the above happens to stroke victims, throat cancer victims/survivors, brain cancer victims/survivors & to those who have other diso

Suffering from voice loss and are in need of a viable solution to get it back in a fast and efficient manner? We are here to help!

Are you, by any chance, suffering from abnormal changes in your voice like for example; Hoarseness, raspiness or even a total voice loss? At first, you may think that you're fighting with a cold or flu, or perhaps you may think that it’s due to the fact that you sang your heart out at a concert or cheered too loudly for your favourite player at a football game. And, if so, then, (hypothetically speaking), due to those actions, you are now paying the price with a sore throat or even, parhaps, laryngitis  - a type of inflammation in your voice box that makes your voice scratchy or hoarse, which can also be a cause of a lost voice, God forbid! Laryngitis can be short-term endeavour or become chronic. Most often (if it's not chronic), it does not last for longer than a couple of weeks.  Laryngitis (occurance of which is quite common during cold and flu season) is caused when the voice box becomes inflamed. In fact, if the inflammation gets into the vocal box lining, it
