If the student is not a novice and has a strong personality, the private approach is the right way to start the voice/vocal development. If, on the other hand, we are talking about a complete beginner who has never taken any speech or singing lessons, let alone any other instructional sessions in his life, the group approach to start with for somebody like that would be the right answer.
Not only the above-described person will greatly benefit out of it, but will learn a lot to become prepared for the private, more intense sessions. I usually do not take more then 6 to (absolute maximum) 7 people in a group, to be able to provide the semi-private instruction within the group setting.
Due to that fact, the participants are not always put on the spot and have time to relax and to observe what others have been doing right or wrong. In Russia, we use to have a saying:
“Not too very smart people are learning from their own mistakes, but the smarter ones are learning from the mistakes of others.”
I think that the above is a very profound and the vocal interactive workshop allows the participants to learn from others and adapt the positive outcome for themselves. I personally conduct those workshops and find them very educational and fun to run.
Needless to say, after the participants experience the, so to speak, preview to the Vocal Science Method, at least 2 new individual private clients will be derived from this event. And let me tell you, to start the individual singing or speech lessons, or even the voice repair sessions, after they have participated in the workshop, is literally a “piece of cake”. I personally think that any workshops on any subject should be highly beneficial to give a jumpstart to anybody who is not sure, doubting or even skeptical to start something more substantial, and nevertheless, to pay a larger sum of money for it.
So I highly recommend to “test the waters” first before you jump into something which you are not 100% convinced about, or not sure if you want to fully embark on.

- My close observations and beliefs. - For at least a decade, about 90 percent of people have been coming through our doors to conquer not only a voice repair but, as experience shows, first and foremost, to acquire a new and improved lifestyle… Our Toronto prominent newspaper, The Toronto Star , once said - “ It is not for the faint of heart ”. And I would add that it is also not for people who will be expecting change without change, so to speak. If those who are seeking help are not willing to open up and tell us their true story, then it would be very difficult to offer them the lifestyle modification - and thus the successful results of their voice problems and issues. I’ve said it numerous times that the human voice is an expression of the state of one’s being and the identification of who that person really is… The voice on its own is a “ tool” for communication and, needless to say, that if that very “tool” is broken, the communication also s
Case Study: This story is about Vera D of Barrie Ontario, whose vocal cords got damaged during her open heart surgery… Vera came to us in the year 2015 when she hardly could speak, and mostly was whispering. She told us her story whereas before coming for our non-surgical voice repair services, she had undergone open-heart surgery, after the completion of which, she fell in a life-and-death coma. It took over 45 minutes to revive her. Thank God, luckily for her, she survived the ordeal. But when she woke up, she discovered that she had no voice to speak. It clearly was damaged due to intubation and, perhaps, some other internal surgical procedures related to the main cause. She was told that she would never regain her normal speaking voice ever again. She underwent some very painful and useless tests that revealed that her vocal cord damage was permanent. On this note, she was offered not one, but two vocal operations with absolutely no guarantee that her voice will ever return b
Vocal Science™ Separated, divorced, feeling lonely...? This Is A Riddle. Feel like it is hard to speak and to even swallow? Feels like you have a lump in your throat? We can help, and not only with your voice being strangled but also with the stuffed-up emotions you have been experiencing due to the above! We promise that we will take care of you, holistically speaking… Rest assured, help is on the way and we are more than happy to guarantee you that! For quite a few years now, I have been working with a lot of middle-aged women primarily age 45 to 65; the majority of whom were separated or outright divorced from their spouses… The most affected (vocally and otherwise) were those women who did not expect it at all… Their spouses made it financially (not without their wives’ help). And due to that, they had acquired the power of wealth and some “mostly-fake” status. On that premise, shortly after, they left their wives and children to stat a newly-found life with a new, younger femal
