If Voice Damage is Undeniable…, Suffering should be Optional.
You are experiencing voice problems:
- Sore throat, hard to swallow, burning vocal cords, difficulty speaking/singing, etc.
- “Should I ignore all of this and hope that my voice will come back on its own and will be as good as before or better?”
- “Should I agree for a surgical procedure?”
- “Should I try to find a “magic” pill, which will solve all my voice problems?”
Should you continue suffering, or
should you do something about it?
I am sure that the first thought that usually comes to
your mind is, “let’s go to the doctor and find out what’s wrong with me”.
Then you get a referral to the ENT
specialist. And after that, "if you’re lucky", you may be
diagnosed with something not so serious, and most likely, you would be offered some
kind of a medical drug, which usually is designed to knock down your gastric acid,
regardless weather you have it or not.
If you are "not so lucky", you may not
be diagnosed with anything at all, or could be diagnosed with something serious
which is, in doctor’s opinion, may require a laser or even a scalper surgery.
Now you may have a dilemma:
- “Should I, perhaps, research an alternative way how to treat my condition naturally, and mainly, how to acquire a different application/technique, using my voice speaking and or singing?”
My advice would be the latter.
As I mentioned in one of my other blogs, I had a similar dilemma with my lower molar tooth. It took me a month of research and
appointments with general dentists, root canal specialists, and tooth
extraction specialists. The peculiar part of it was that I managed
to concur the toothache completely using natural herbs and remedies during the
month when I was very busy with voice repair projects from out of country,
while concurrently I had to make my decision how to deal with my dental problem. In my case, I came to the conclusion
that the best way would be to extract my doomed tooth, as everything else would
be much more complicated and, in the final analysis, I may lose that tooth
anyways. I, however, examined all of my
options before making my decision.
With respect of the voice problem, I
know people who did not even ask for a second opinion and momentarily agreed to the vocal operation. Granted, they wanted to end their
sufferings immediately, but unfortunately, not always they acquired the desirable outcome. Moreover, shortly after the
operation, they found more polyps or nodules on their vocal cords then they had
originally.
Why, you may ask? The answer is that they got rid of
the symptoms momentarily, but the cause of the problem was still unsolved.
Holistically speaking, you have to
look at the entire human body and not only at the organ(s) effected. Once the body is properly cleansed
and the immune system is significantly boosted, the quality of the voice will
inevitably improve on its own. Then, when the “instrument” is, so to
speak, tuned, now it is the time to teach the “player” how to extract the
maximum capacity from the given “instrument” in order to achieve the desirable
performance - speaking or singing.
I have to note that sometimes the
vocal surgery cannot be avoided, but the post-surgery care and proper voice
instruction should not even be up for discussion...
IT HAS TO BE A MUST!
